VOLAVI Canarias is a company specialising in the organisation and management of sporting events, with a clear commitment to promoting cycling and competitive sport in Gran Canaria and across the Canary Islands. With a well-established track record, it has been responsible for landmark events such as the Gran Canaria Marathon in 2014 and 2015, and is currently working on one of the most ambitious projects on the island’s sporting calendar: the Tour of Gran Canaria.
Its work goes beyond the organisation of competitions. VOLAVI Canarias is committed to building solid, sustainable structures adapted to the local context, with the aim of positioning the Canary Islands on the national road-cycling map. In this context, its strategic alliance with Organizaciones Ciclistas Euskadi (OCETA) stands out as a key partnership for technical route design, logistical planning and liaison with organisations linked to professional cycling. A decisive step towards a shared goal: laying the foundations for a future Tour of the Canary Islands.
Within this sporting ecosystem, VOLAVI Canarias also promotes the Gran Canaria Bike Team, a development project created to support young Canarian cyclists in their transition to national-level competition, helping to overcome the barriers associated with insularity while fostering values such as effort, equal opportunities and a strong sense of belonging.
