In 2011, the Gran Canaria Tourist Board, Gran Canaria and businessmen and women from the sector, together with the collaboration of the Federation of Hotel and Tourism Businessmen and women of Las Palmas, created the Gran Canaria Tri Bike & Run.
The purpose of this public and private initiative is to work together towards the joint marketing and promotion of Gran Canaria as a great destination for cycle tourism, triathlon and running, under the umbrella of a single organisation created to represent each and every one of the associated companies, as well as to make this island a leading destination in sports tourism both locally and in the main source markets.
Gran Canaria Tri, Bike & Runis an official brand of the Tourist Board of Gran Canaria, which brings together under a single seal of quality the existing offer available on the island for cycling, triathlon and running enthusiasts and professionals.
The association is made up of companies with vast experience in organising sport-related events and tours and the rental of sports equipment, hotel chains of the hospitality industry and hospital centres with a dedicated sports medicine area.
The association Gran Canaria Tri, Bike & Run organises, among others, the following promotion and marketing activities:

Attracting and organising fam trips for tour operators and specialised travel agents from the main source markets for sports tourism.
Attending national and international trade fairs both generic and specialized fairs.
Join the association if you want to grow your accommodation services and sports activities in Gran Canaria. Together, we will take your establishment to new levels of recognition and excellence.
